Things to do in Abu Dhabi city

Visiting Abu Dhabi city
Abu Dhabi is quieter and more spread out than Dubai, and its highlights are further apart — the Grand Mosque, the Corniche and the museums on Saadiyat sit in different parts of the city. It works well as a full day from Dubai, about ninety minutes each way, or as a base in its own right if you want the pace turned down.
Good to know
- The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque has a dress code covering shoulders, knees and hair — abayas are lent at the entrance.
- Museums on Saadiyat Island close one day a week, so check before building a day around them.
